Publication Opportunities

The conference calls for two kinds of abstracts: (1) individual presentations and (2) panels.

Individual presentations:

  • Presentation abstracts are submitted by individual participants.
  • Following the review, the accepted presentations will be categorized into sessions by the conference organizers.
  • Each 90-minute session will consist of three presentations, followed by a general discussion and a Q & A segment.
  • Each presenter, or presentation team if many presenters are involved, will be allotted 15-20 minutes for their presentation.
  • The organizers will designate a moderator for the session.

Group panels:

  • The conference also accepts abstracts for panel sessions.
  • Abstracts for these 90-minute sessions are submitted by a panel of 3-4 presenters on a linked or common theme.
  • Each presenter, or presentation team if many presenters are involved, will be allotted 15-20 minutes for their presentation.
  • The panellists may nominate their own moderator, who will also participate in the conference.

Abstracts for individual presentations and group panels must be received before 11:59 pm Bangkok time (GMT+7) on 31 May 2026. All abstracts should be  in English.

  • Individual abstracts should be no longer than 250 words
  • Panel abstracts should be no longer than 500 words

Both types of abstracts must explicitly outline the subject of the presentation or panel and its significance to the conference. Please include the name of the region and the respective country or countries in the title, if applicable.

Special Issue: Journal of Language and Culture (JLC)

High-quality submissions that align closely with the conference’s core themes will be invited for submission to a Special Issue of the Journal of Language and Culture (JLC).

  • About JLC: Published by the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA), Mahidol University, the JLC is a premier academic venue for interdisciplinary research.
  • Selection Process: Invited papers will undergo the journal’s standard double-blind peer-review process.
  • Criteria: Papers should demonstrate significant theoretical contribution, rigorous methodology, and original findings.

Official Conference Proceedings

Authors who wish to share their preliminary findings or more localized case studies may opt for the Official Conference Proceedings.

  • Format: These are usually shorter versions of full papers or comprehensive abstracts presented at the event.
  • Review Process: Submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Scientific Committee for relevance, clarity, and academic integrity.
  • Benefit: This provides a rapid way to document your contribution to the 2026 conference and share your work with the international academic community shortly after the event.
